Winter Is Here!

Hey guys and gals! I hope everyone is staying warm and toasty today. A big ole norther blew into Austin and dropped the temps from the 80's into the 40's and now all I can think about is winter clothes!

Went out and did a frigid photo shoot for you today to showcase some sale items as well as some really good deals that may be perfect for holiday gift giving so let's dive right in!

When the chill factor sets in, this is one of my go-to jackets because, well, military style is something I may be familiar with.

I love the fit on this Army Jacket because it has a cinched in waist and at a price of $24.99, it is tremendously affordable. It also comes in 36 different colors & styles, some with a removable fur hood. This jacket can be casual of you can throw it over a dress for an updated chic look.

The Knee High Boots are awesome because they have a built in platform which makes it really easy to walk in them AND they make me about 6 feet tall! The Turtleneck is from last season at Express but I've linked a similar one from Amazon HERE. If you're only going to buy one thing for the winter this year you need to purchase a turtleneck sweater. They are fabulous for layering and they look flattering on anyone. The Jeans are from Express, a favorite place for me to buy jeans, and they are 50% OFF right now.

Next up is this AWESOME Yellow Suede Moto Jacket. I love the color because it make me happy and if I were a betting woman I'd bet that you can't wear this and not feel a spring in your step. I've linked an additional style HERE that is a bit more affordable.

I like to wear this over an all black ensemble so that it makes the jacket really pop.

I'm wearing faux leather leggings from Nordstrom Rack that are reasonably priced at under $40. The Black Turtleneck Sweater is from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale a while back and the Combat Boots, a HUGE trend right now, are from Michael Kors although I will also link a couple pairs that are more affordable HERE and HERE.

The Scarf is from Amazon and let me tell you that if you need a scarf in any color combo you can most likely fine it on Amazon.

We just booked a ski trip in January and this next look is going to be making the rounds in Breckenridge for sure.

An all white ensemble is just so classic and chic and I'm all about that. The White Car Coat is from Express and it was on sale for 50% Off, which is when I snapped it up, but not at the moment. That doesn't mean that It won't go on sale again in the near future so look for sales alert blogs when it does. The White Jeans are from early summer and I am bringing them into winter.

The White Boots are an Amazon find for under $40 and I loved them so much that I also bought a navy blue pair. They are lined with faux fur so they are super comfy on your feet. Perfect for snowy weather!

The Puff Sleeve Sweater is from Express and it matches the coat in color almost exactly. I added a Brixton chapeau that I picked up at Nordstrom last year but it's no longer available, so I linked one HERE that will look super amazing as well.

This Columbia Puffer Coat is also going to make the ski trip because it is super versatile and won't take up a ton of room in my suitcase. Same leggings, combat boots, and back sweater that I linked above. The Black Beanie was $15.99 at Amazon and the Black & White Scarf, also an Amazon purchase, was $12.99 and feels like cashmere. It comes in over 30 different color combinations and is totally unisex so if the man in your life needs a stocking stuffer, this is a perfect gift for him. My husband will be getting one of these from Lisa Santa this year.

The Black Oversized Sunglasses I am wearing in several photos are a fabulous Amazon find and I absolutely love them. They have an old Hollywood feel and at $14.00 bucks, if I lose them or break them, they are easily replaceable.

Okay kids, that's it for me now. I hope you're enjoying my Blog Series "Getting to Know Lisa - How It Started".

I plan on working on Part Three tomorrow where I'll be sharing some funny Army stories that are sure to give you a giggle and some other, more serious stuff as well.

Have a fab Tuesday evening! Get those fireplaces fired up and pour yourself a glass of something that will make you smile. I plan on it!

Cheers! XOXO
