Shoes, shoes, everywhere shoes!!!
Hi everyone! Summer is here and it is great excuse to do a re-vamp of my shoe closet. Since I don't have my dream closet yet, I don't have room for all of my shoes in one place in my house, so they are spread out between three different closets so I usually have to switch out my everyday closet based on seasons. In Texas, that's two, Fall and Summer, which makes it easier for me.
I usually go through older styles and then decide which ones are the staple styles and which ones are more trendy and the trendy ones are the ones that typically end up being sold online on sites like ThredUp or Poshmark. Once I've made room for a few pair, it's time to scoop up some new summer styles that I love. I'm going to share a few of the ones that I've added to my closet so far this summer.
One of my first picks of the summer were these putty colored mules from Marc Fisher. I picked these up at Zappos, which, by the way, if you love shoe shopping, is a fantastic site for such activities! These lovelies go with anything that you pair them with it. Crop jeans, sundresses, by the pool, or out to dinner, they are a great staple to add to your closet and the putty color will take you right into fall with ease. I like them paired with a crop jean and this super cute Bottega Veneta pouch dupe from Amazon.
I next fell in love with these fabulous gals. The color is so me, bright and playful, and they are a coraly, orangy, ball of loveliness.
Wear them when you want a pop of color, are feeling bit playful, or just because! They are from Vince Camuto, and these Averessa Mules will put a spring in your step.
Now....on to these luscious, suede, turquoise blue mules from Sam Edelman.
They say Summer right from first glance, will pair well with your summer whites or crop jeans and breezy blouses, and are super comfy on your feet. I also love the little architectural heel on her.
I like to style her with a cool, white summer dress and a fabulous summer hat, like the one shown here from Amazon.
And lastly, let's talk about my Steve Madden obsession. Any one of these ladies would be an awesome addition to your summer wardrobe, so let's go through them really quick.
One the the top right, this snake print pair is sold out but I've linked a similar pair. They will be great for summer or fall and since I love prints, they were a must have.
The top left pair are Glassy Leopard and well, what can I say, I love me some leopard. Next up, the Glassy Clear will go with anything and here's a style hint: When wearing a really bold print up top, a clear heel not only keeps the focus on your dress or top, but will also make your legs look a mile long and who doesn't want that?
The last pair of clear-ish heels are the Glassy Tan and I really just liked the hint of a color throughout the heel, but they are sold out. Finally, the woven cream colored pair have been making the rounds throughout my wardrobe and if you had to choose just one to add to your collection, I would choose The Tangle pair. The Tangle is casual enough to wear with shorts or pair with your swimsuit and a cover up, but can also take you right into evening with your cute summer dress.
