Top 10 Favorite Fall Items

Writer's picture: Lisa TaylorLisa Taylor

Hello ladies & gents! Hope everyone is happy & healthy. Things in the Taylor-Taylor household are rockin and rollin as we're getting ready for the holiday season and that kicks off this next week with my BIRTHDAY WEEK CELEBRATION!

Lots of dinners with friends and family planned along with some special time with the hubs, which means tons of outfits that need to be planned so let's talk fashion shall we?!

Let's start with adding a new Moto Jacket into your fall mix. This one is a cream color and will go with everything. Especially in Texas where our fall is temperament, a Moto Jacket is lightweight and is a great way to add a statement to any outfit. It's a piece that never goes out of style and can be worn over tops, dresses, sweaters, etc.

Another item that should be added to your closet is a good pair of Faux Suede Leggings.

They are tremendously versatile, look great with tall boots, lug sole boots (the craze right now) or flats, and will keep you looking stylish while keeping you warm. They are made by Spanx so you know they'll keep everything nice and tight and keep you looking chic and sleek! They come in Camel, Olive, Chocolate Brown, and Merlot. Seriously, you NEED these! You'll thank me later.

And since we're discussing Faux Suede, this is THE it Blazer of the season and you need to add it to your fall ensembles.

The tailoring is impeccable, the lightweight feel is perfect for fall, and the dark rust color is fabulous with black, cream, and gray. (or be bold and do a monochromatic look like I did here)

Now, can we talk about THESE BOOTS!!??

These AH-mazing boots are so awesome that I bought them in brown as well. (See above photo) Let me tell you why I love them. First of all, the heel height is great. It elongates the legs, especially when pairing them with the same color leggings as shown in photos, so you will look like you are super tall. Secondly, for my "not so great with high heels" gals, these have a built in platform that makes them tremendously easy to walk in. Full leather upper, built in platform, and high heel? What's not to love. Run, quickly before they sell out!

A great way to take the outfit above and make it a bit more casual is by switching out the knee high boots for a lug sole version, like these. This style boot was all over the runway and will continue to make a mark on fashion.

I love these Combat Style Boots (Obvs...duh!) as I wore this style for many years but when you pair them with a sleek, tailored, menswear style blazer (this exact one is no longer available but I've linked a fabulous version of it HERE) and throw on a ball cap, BAM! ....you're instantly Casually Chic!

Now, if you're looking to add a statement piece to your fall wardrobe, this fabulous Car Coat is the one to grab.

It's made of lightweight faux suede, has some amazing colors on it, and looks great when trying to break up a monochromatic moment; or over jeans and boots like I've done in this photo.

In the first photo, I added a pop of color with my Michael Kors Soho bag, and played on the camel color of the coat by adding these amazing Suede Over The Knee Boots!

Seen in this second look, the same boots really put a stamp on this outfit and take it up a notch. The Camel Blazer, Camel Turtleneck, and Camel Bag, are all great additions to make this ensemble a stand out!

Last, but definitely not least, is my favorite Amazon Sweater. I have it in four colors, that's how much I love it.

It has an asymmetrical hem, which I like to do a quarter tuck with, and is a bit oversized (size down if you want a snugger fit)

It's a favorite and I love it...so that's all.

Alrighty, that's it for me guys & gals. This weekend I am going to be hanging with friends, enjoying some vino, watching the Texas vs Oklahoma game (Hook 'em Horns!) and missing the hubs who, as we speak, is in Ireland playing golf!

Happy Shopping!

XOXO Cheers!
