Hello my friends! Hope everyone is having a good summer thus far. Can you believe it's mid-July already? Crazy! Well, I'm back from some travel and so ready to share some of my favorite items that will help fill out your summer closet and won't break the bank.
Let's dive right in shall we?!
Let's start with this fabulous dress. Spaghetti straps, all over ruching that gives curves where there are none but also helps to keep everything nice and tight. A nice, chic sillouette and wonderfully cool for summer. The best part - she's $34.99.
Now, let me show you all the ways to style this amazing dress.
By adding a cropped jean jacket and of the moment wedge sandals you instantly make this a casually chic summer ensemble.
And then you elevate it by adding the YSL Bag and a fabulous hat; made for me by My Wine Hat.
Dressing this gal up is pretty easy. I will show you two ways to make this dress look super expensive and totally fabulous.
First, I love pairing brown with yellow and so I wanted to make the dress look expensive and ready for a night on the town.
I add this yellow blazer that I picked up at Zara last summer. Unfortunatly this particular one is sold out but I have linked a similar blazer HERE and HERE.
I also wanted to show you these FABULOUS, Over the top, feather slide heels.
They come in yellow, blue green, orange, pink, and black and they totally up the ante on any outfit you wear them with.
Instead of doing a yellow bag, I wanted to incorporate something different so,
I took this amazing scarf that depicts the famous Sunflowers painting by Van Gogh that I picked up at the Exhibit that my husband and I visited in Denver a nd I wrapped it around the handle of my Balenciaga Mini Bag to add that same pop of yellow.
Top this look off with Yellow Lens Aviator style sunnies and some fun yellow drop earrings and WOW!! A major date night look.
Another way to elevate this dress is by topping it off with a blouse in the same color family. I have this great giraffe print blouse so I threw that on and then belted it with this great wide Michael Kors belt.
I added these matchy-matchy Giraffe print mules and animal print sunglasses,
and finally, this quilted casette chain strap crossbody bag.
Now, this dress also comes in black and she goes from dressy to casually chic as well.
For his dressup look - Pair her with a cropped black jacket or a cropped leather jacket.
Elevate the look with feather trimmed heels and a designer Lady Dior Bag
For a more casual vibe, a cropped jean jacket always brings that effortless, (but intentional) look. I say, invest in a cropped jean jacket that you love because it's as much a wardrobe staple a owning a great black blazer is. To continue the casual vibe I added some simple black wedge heels and a mini Jacquemus Bag for a pop of color.
When I find something that I really love, I will buy it in multiple colors and that is what happened when I picked up this amazing corset bustier style top from Bardot at Revolve. Priced from $79.00 to $89.00 depending on color choice.
Okay, let's talk about the top here. It's vegan leather. It's boned for structure. It's got a zip up back and it is supposed to fit snug, keeping the girls up and lifted. I typically wear a size 6 in tops and dresses but for this top I went up one size to an 8, to make room for the girls. For reference, I am a 34C cup and the size 8 or Medium in this top fit s me perfectly.
Here is a link to the Black Bustier - Size Medium
Here is a link to the Pink Bustier - Size 8
Now, let's talk about the outfits.
Here are two different ways to style his top. For this look I fully embraced the hot pink vibe and went all in. The vegan leather pants are also from the same brand at Revolve and they are soft and very pliable and fine for summer dressing.
I went up a size to an 8 in these as well because, well, leather.
Pink Mules, a Pink Crossbody (similar HERE) and Pink Framed Sunnies top off the look.
If you're not someone that feels comfortable wearing head to toe pink, then this bustier looks great as the pop of color in an otherwise all white ensemble.
A pair of simple but Fitted White Slacks paired with a corset style Cropped Blazer Jacket
(made by the same brand, Bardot, as the tops so I also ordered a size 8 in this jacket)
and a pair of White High Heeled Sandals. Finally, I added the same bag to vcarry the pink over, and a pair of fun, Cat Eye Sunglasses.
The White Bustier can be styled for that casual, brunch with the gals look by adding that closet staple cropped jean jacket, paired with cropped white jeans, a pair of flat white sandals, and top it off with a white ball cap.
Dress Up Time? Switch out the jean jacket for a white diaphanous bolero, switch out the flats for a wedge sandal, and add a FABULOUS hat. Waa-Laa.
Ready for Happy Hour.
For the Black Bustier I wanted to show you again, how to dress it up or make it a casual chic vibe.
To dress it up, add a simple Black Skirt with a slit and these great Bow Heels (On SALE for $58.80) that make any outfit look elevated. For a touch of sparkle, this Cult Gia Crystal Bag dos the trick..
For a casual vibe I paired it with high waisted trousers,(the Olive color is sold out but I've linked the beige pair that I am seriously contemplating) my favorite lace up Doc Martens, (tied around the bottom of the trousers to give it that "Im too cool for this place" look) and two of my favorite summer staples, my oversized Sunnies and my Brixton Straw Hat.
Of course, you can elevate any look by adding a designer YSL Shopper Bag.
I want to show one last way to dress up this Black Bustier Top. Anytime you pair Black Leather with Black Slacks, it elevates your look. I found this cool slightly diaphonous Cropped Jacket on Amazon (will be great over a myriad of things in the summer when it's hot as hell outside but in restaurants it can be chilly)
Add a Too Cool For School Dior Bag and you're ready for your night on the town.
One last thing that I want to show you in close up; This Corset Style Cropped Blazer Jacket from above. It's also made by Bardot, the same brand as the Bustier Tops It is beautifully structured, and gives a total 90's vibe.
It has a hook & eye closure in the front, which is always difficult to mauever, so I am contemplating using my free alterations situation at Nordstrom to see if they can put a zipper in and replace the hook & eye. I will keep yall posted on that.
Okay....that's it for now peeps! Keep your eyes on your email because i will be posting another Nordstrom Anniversary Sale update once my additional items arrive (should be today!!!)
Happy Shopping!
XOXO Ciao!
