So, truth time. I am 56 years old with a birthday coming up in 4 months. To me, it's just unbelievable because at the heart of who I am, I really am only 30. But, honestly, all jokes aside, the lines around my eyes, the extra weight around my middle, and let's not even TALK about my sagging neck skin! Menopause simply sucks. And aging sucks! But, I'm not going to be that lady that says I'm willing to "age gracefully". I say hogwash! I will do everything within my power to keep up the facade of youth as long as I can and as long a my pocketbook can manage it.
So, to that end, I've rounded up some of my favorite anti-aging beauty products and I want to share them with you.
I'm not sure if there are any Peter Thomas Roth users/fans out there, but I certainly am. These Hyaluronic Eye Patches are THE BEST to combat those under-eye bags or that morning puffiness that usually accompanies a night of excess. Can you say Hello Pinot?
The patches consist of Hyaluronic Acid that helps lock in hydration. Ceramide NP, Collagen and Marshmallow Root Extract that work together to smooth and soften the look of fine lines, while the Caffeine helps de-puff the look of the eye area and Arnica helps diminish the appearance of dark circles. They are really easy to use; Simply use the enclosed spatula to gently lift and separate a delicate gel patch. Apply onto clean, dry under eye area. Repeat on the other side. Relax and enjoy for 10 to 15 minutes. Discard after use and gently pat remaining serum into skin. Another trick is to use these as a makeup shield to protect from loose eyeshadow and mascara fallout, then remove to reveal a silky smooth canvas for under eye concealer application.
My next love is this AH-MAZING Pumpkin Enzyme Mask. It helps address the look of a dull, aging complexion by exfoliating with Pumpkin Enzyme, peeling with Alpha Hydroxy Acid and polishing with Aluminum Oxide Crystals.
It also helps to even up your skin tone, and smooth the look of fine lines and wrinkles to reveal skin that appears smoother, younger and radiant. I use it once every ten days or so but here's my tip with this mask. If you have a big event (Wedding, First Date, Anniversary) that you want to look radiant for...use this mask the morning of. We all know or have read about how tender and thin the skin is under our eyes and as I age this is an area that I pay special attention to. This retinol smoothing serum made by RoC is a great start to keeping those fine lines and dark circles away.

All told, between the filler, and the occasional botox, I've not done anything tremendously drastic...yet....to help fight the aging process.
